About the Outback Steakhouse restaurant

Outback Steakhouse is probably the most recognizable Australian-theme restaurant around the world. Although it is Australian-inspired, the restaurant was actually founded in Tampa Bay, Florida, by partners Chris T. Sullivan, Bob Basham, Tim Gannon, and Trudy Cooper in March 1988. Outback Steakhouse was formerly managed by a company called OSI Restaurant Partners until it was acquired by Bloomin’ Brands to launch its international operations and reach more people. One of its first restaurants outside of the United States is in Canada, which was opened way back in 1996. However, nine stores in Ontario were closed in March 2009 due to poor economic status. A store was re-opened in Niagara Falls in June of the same year, and then it was followed by a second store. As of today, Outback Steakhouse has over 1,000 restaurants spread across 23 countries that include Australia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, and the Philippines, just to name a few.

The signature dish of the store is their steaks and specialty combos. A popular option among diners is the sirloin and baby back ribs. The sirloin steak, in particular, is cooked under desired temperatures, and then it is paired with smoked baby ribs served in halves and Aussie fries. Another popular combo meal on their menu is sirloin and grilled shrimp. The serving consists of 6oz sirloin steak and seasoned grilled shrimp with two side dishes of your choice. If you want more beef on your plate, then you can opt for their rib-eye steak, which was grilled under medium temperature. And to make the flavors of the steak standout, they added their signature seventeen blend ingredient secret. In addition, you will also get two side dishes of your option. Apparently, the menu is not suitable for light eaters, but if you appreciate good food and culture, then the Outback Steakhouse is the place to be.
